The Formaplex story

Formaplex was started in July 2001. The culture instilled by the founders at this time, including meeting clients' demand for rapid project delivery and offering round-the-clock support, has underpinned the company's growth ever since.

Expertise and expansion

The next step for Formaplex came in 2003 when it began supplying injection-mould tooling to meet the needs of a growing number of automotive prototype and development projects from clients operating at the very top of their fields.

As demand for injection-mould tooling continued to rise and realising that commercial mould shops could not complete projects as quickly as clients demanded, Formaplex invested in its own injection-moulding machinery in 2004.

New headquarters

The company continued to grow and, in 2007, it moved into a brand new purpose-built facility in Hampshire, in the south of England.

Today, the highly skilled Formaplex workforce provides a comprehensive design-to-manufacture service to clients in the automotive, motorsport, military and aerospace industries who require composites and plastic components.
