Working Location: Horndean
Salary: £30k per year
Working Hours: Days 8am – 4pm Monday – Friday
Job Function & Key Tasks
- Creation and maintenance of process description documentation (e.g. work instructions, SOP’s)
- Document control and maintenance of documentation within the QMS
- Creating, updating or rewriting controlled documents as required
- Collecting relevant technical information from manufacturing processes
- Attending production process trials to obtain relevant information and evidence to support document creation
- Any other task as reasonably required to fulfil the job function.
Principle Responsibilities
- Ensuring the accuracy and clarity of all process description documents
- Ensuring physical copies of out of date documents are recovered and destroyed when issuing new documents
- Ensuring correct document control is maintained within the QMS
- Ensuring prompt responses to requests for document updates to support production and minimise production failures
Health and Safety Responsibilities
All employees have a responsibility for Health and Safety whilst at work. As an employee at Formaplex, you are responsible for;
- Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of yourself and that of other persons whom may be affected by your actions
- Co-operating with Formaplex on all matters relating to health, safety and welfare by observing all relevant policies, procedures, safety systems of working and safety signs
- Ensuring the use of all safety related guards, control measures, and wearing of personal protective equipment at all times (where appropriate)
- Reporting of all accidents, incidents and reporting any failings as necessary, or bring to the attention of the Health & Safety Manager
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Strong PC Skills, MS Office essential – previous experience with CAD and MRP systems beneficial
- Interest in engineering/manufacturing processes
- Ability to prioritise own workload or work under direction
- Ability to communicate well and ask questions to extract the required information
- High level of written English
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn, train and develop as required
Desirable
- Previous experience of Automotive, Aerospace or other similarly controlled industry
- Engineering background
- Composite knowledge
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
Education & Qualifications
- GCSE A-C in English and Maths
- MS Office (Work, Excel, PowerPoint) training preferable
