Their responsibilities and focus, in terms of design for manufacture, cost, quality and timing defines the project criteria. This, in turn, provides a controlled gateway driven process, with regular reviews of progress, responsive management control of any deviations and a communication plan throughout the project team.
Project Managers work in close partnership with sales, designers, engineers, toolmakers, production, quality and specialist engineering departments, to ensure a project is successfully completed at each stage of the process within an APQP environment. From design concept, design for manufacture, material order, mouldflow studies, design for optimum process conditions, through to manufacture, tool trials and production, jigs and fixtures and part approval process (PPAP), our project managers will liaise with the customer for product review and approval, to ensure the project meets their specific requirements.
